Hoi,

Ik zou graag een DS18B20 sensor willen hangen aan mijn arduino bordje, is dat redelijk eenvouding te doen, of is het zo goed als onmogelijk ? Voordeel zou moeten zijn dat eiken niet meer hoeft, en tevens zou er een lange kabel aan gehangen kunnen worden zodat je sensor en arduino bordje niet al te dicht bij elkaar hoeven.

Deze sensor wordt niet ondersteund. Als je deze perse wilt gebruiken dan zul je de code moeten aanpassen. overigens overschat niet de lengte van de kabel die je mag gebruiken. volgens de I2C specificaties mag dit niet meer zijn dan een meter. Wat je wel kan doen is een helemaal uitgeklede Nodo met alleen een rf zender maken die de waarden draadloos naar je centrale nodo stuurt.

De DS18B20 zijn geen i2c onderelen maar werken via het OneWire protocol (van Dallas/Maxim).

Dank jullie wel voor de duidelijke antwoorden

Waarom linken naar verre sites? Toevallig had ik ze daar gekocht. ;)

Maar dan denk ik dat het beste kan doen wat Paul al zegt even wachten op de nieuwe release en dan een plugin ervoor maken.

Ik had ook al meer dan 30 meter gehoord aan bekabeling, en dat is toch een mooie lengte voor dit soort sensors.
